Printmaking is an integral part to my artistic practice. Sometimes it is at the forefront of my work, and at others it is playing the role of generating ideas and allowing me a safe space to play and develop ideas to incorporate into my painting. Either way, it is a central part of my life. I love printmaking, as it has an element of the unexpected, with prints rarely turning out quite as I envisaged – I find this very exciting! The process of layering up the colours (often over 12 layers) has a way of keeping the marks and image fresh, which I am always trying to retain in my painting.

These prints are all from 2024, where I have been developing work based on my travels in Spain and trying to find ways of combining the wonderful things I experienced there, with my love of still life and decorative objects and textiles.
